Christmas Message Sent Into Space

A client of mine, www.SentForever.com has partnered with Virgin Mobile with the mobile phone operator offering all its phone users the opportunity to send a FREE message of their choice into Space.

You text a message and send it to 80995 - and it works on any network not just Virgin Mobile users.

You then get a message back from Virgin Mob to say go to the SentForever.com site and put in your telephone number to be sent tracking stats and told how far your message has gone into space.

They broadcast the message from the massive Goonhilly Radio Telescopes in Cornwall.

It will be interesting to see what media coverage they get, a number of journalists from the red-tops and broadsheets, plus some online publishers attended the press briefing on Monday.

If anyone knows of some good media contacts like the BBC 'Morning' programme that would be excellent too!

I've sent my festive greeting to the Universe and expect I'll be feeding turkey to little green men this Christmas, well you never know!
